Jeff has over 30 years experience in senior management, fifteen of those as Chief Executive of a number of Health Authorities and NHS Trusts. In the largest of his Chief Executive roles Jeff was accountable for a budget of over £300m per annum and more than 6000 staff. Two of the Chief Executive roles were in large Acute NHS Trusts providing emergency care, general acute care as well as highly specialised medical care; one of them covered the entire range of community and non-acute care including mental health and learning disability services; and two were Health Authorities with responsibility for Strategic Planning of Health Services, Performance Management and the Commissioning of Health services. Jeff is a consultant to Government Departments as well as large and medium sized organisations. He specialises in helping organisations to develop business strategies and works with Boards and senior leadership teams to help deliver them. Jeff has particular expertise and experience of cross-cultural and diversity issues faced by national and international organisations. Jeff's Executive Coaching career has developed from this broad leadership experience underpinned with a formal post-graduate qualification in Executive coaching. His clients include Chairmen, CEO's and senior leaders of large public sector and private sector organisations, as well as those aspiring to such roles. His non-executive roles have included membership of a number of Ministerial and Government Committees, Board of Birmingham University and Chair of their Ethics Committee, Membership of the European Coaching and Mentoring Council and Member of the Standards Committee.
